Promoting Energy Efficiency in Buildings Project presented at 8th National Energy Efficiency Fair

8th National Energy Efficiency Fair was held in İstanbul on 11-12 January 2017. Fair, which was organized by Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, General Directorate of Renewable Energy, is conducted on the second week of January every year, on the “Energy Efficiency Week”.

8th National Energy Efficiency Fair was held in İstanbul on 11-12 January 2017. Fair, which was organized by Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, General Directorate of Renewable Energy, is conducted on the second week of January every year, on the “Energy Efficiency Week”.

Concrete results of Promoting Energy Efficiency in Buildings Project that is implemented by Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, General Directorate of Renewable Energy in cooperation with UNDP with the financial support of GEF (Global Environment Fund) was presented in this fair.

 

UNDP Project Manager Aslı Karabacak gave information on the objectives, content and results of the project at Energy Efficiency in Buildings and Renewable Energy Technologies session while Prof. Dr. Birol Kılkış from Başkent University made presentation on Renewable Energy Technologies – Economic Analyze Tool.

 

Following this session, a training on Energy Management Information System in Public Buildings was provided by Goran Cacic, UNDP Sustainable Energy Expert and Kormaz Gül from General Directorate of Renewable Energy. Through Energy Management Information System, which is located in General Directorate of Renewable Energy, the quantity of energy consumption will be monitored.

 

Promoting Energy Efficiency in Buildings Project is being executed by General Directorate of Renewable Energy (YEGM) of Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in cooperation with UNDP with the financial support of Global Environment Facility (GEF). The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, and Ministry of National Education are other partners of the project.
