Turkey's Engineer Girls

Turkey's Engineer Girls Project, which is implemented by Limak Foundation and the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and with the expertise support from UNDP, was also moved to Kuwait University by a recently-signed protocol.  Limak Foundation Chairperson Ebru Özdemir, who signed the protocol said: "It is of capital importance for us to be able to add a permanent value to the society.  We feel responsible for Kuwait.  Therefore, we are transferring Turkey's Engineer Girls Project, which has been successfully implemented in Turkey, to Kuwait as well."

Turkey's Engineer Girls Project, which was developed in order to improve the employment conditions for qualified women, aims to disseminate mainstreaming, advocacy and success stories on gender equality for the private sector operating in service and manufacturing industry for an inclusive and sustainable growth.  The project also aspires to raise the awareness of the private sector on gender equality by gathering university students, their families, actors from the business world, political decision-makers and mentors and implementing inclusive business models that support capacity development on the industry's leading companies.
